This day 20 years ago, Victoria Beckham would have been working away in the recording studios with her new girl group, the Spice Girls. Today however, the former Posh Spice has been heralded as Britain's Top Entrepreneur for 2014, all thanks to the success of her fashion label, Victoria Beckham.
Beckham's business success has been recognized by business magazine, Management Today in its list of Top 100 Entrepreneurs of 2014. Having started up the brand in 2008, the Victoria Beckham is currently worth £210 million ($338 million).

The brand is best known for its designer outfits and accessories, with the current pre-Spring-Summer 2015 dresses costing almost £2,000 a piece.
Beckham was up against entrepreneurs from a range of industries, including investment companies, online gaming, oil and pharmaceuticals.
Alongside Beckham, 14 other female entrepreneurs who lead a company they either found themselves or jointly owned made it on to the Top 100 list. In the top 10 alone, two other women were included, including online gaming entrepreneur, Denise Coates who created Bet365, in sixth place and Meeta Patel, who heads up pharmaceutical company Auden McKenzie.
Philip Beresford, who assembled the Top 100 used a list of criteria to compile his list. The three main criteria ranked each entrepreneur on their own asset wealth (or family-owned asset); their percentage growth in positions created within the company and the percentage growth rate in turnover since 2009.
Victoria Beckham generated a 2,900 percent increase in turnover over those five years, with the closest to follow being Jason Bannister's business Oak Furniture Land with a 753 percent turnover.

According to the Management Today website, the rankings hoped to show a diverse geographical spread across the U.K, while highlighting the achievements made by female entrepreneurs and those who have generated profits.
Deputy Editor of Management Today, Andrew Saunders said that there's "great methodology that goes behind Philip's research", where the list hopes to "showcase British entrepreneurship".
The list demonstrates "what a vibrant and diverse bunch of people there are in Britain, who are working away to help the British economy," he said.
