Along with Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley was among the few large investment banks that survived the financial crisis as a standalone firm. Like Goldman, Morgan hired a former Congressman this year. In February, the investment bank hired former Rep. Harold Ford, Jr. as a client relationship manager. Ford already had some Wall Street experience following his tenure in Washington. He joined Merrill Lynch in 2007 as a senior policy advisor.
