Chesapeake Energy (CHK) spent $5.9 million on home and playoff tickets for the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball team, a franchise that counts
Chesapeake Chairman and CEO Aubrey K. McClendon as one of its owners, with a 19.2 percent stake. And six company executives rang up a bill of about $2 million for personal flights, or about one percent of the company’s fourth-quarter net income. McClendon alone took $500,000 worth of personal flights. The company also recorded $250,000 in “personal accounting support” and $119,135 for personal security for McClendon.
