Jarung Zatung, nine, takes a bite of a deep-fried scorpion at a Bangkok "bug" restaurant February 5 over a bowl of deep-fried silkworms, some of many species on the menu that are considered a delicacy. As more Thais learn of some insects' nutritional value and low cost, defying the belief that insects should not be on the dining table because they are dirty, poisonous or can spread diseases, bug suppliers in Thailand are finding it hard to keep up with demand with markets as far afield as Japan.
