June Squibb – Atlas Shrugged
Squibb is by all accounts a well-regarded stage actress, and has done very little film work…but she did appear in one unquestionable bomb: The first half of the recent adaptation of Atlas Shrugged. Regarded as a failure by film critics, Ayn Rand fans and detractors alike, it is an item on her resume that she’d probably like to scrub off before hitting the Oscars red carpet.
For a much better time, though not exactly a hidden gem, Squibb also had a small role in “Nebraska” director Alexander Payne’s earlier film, “About Schmidt.”
