Looking to beat the traffic by flying? You’ll pay more for it and spend more time in the security line. According to AAA, the average price of airfare during Thanksgiving week is $212 – that’s 20 percent higher than last year. Also 20 percent higher: the number of flight delays in the U.S. Beyond that, many airlines now simply cancel flights rather than risk the government fine on flights delayed more than two hours.
