Will Trump Lower Drug Prices? Most People Have Their Doubts

Relatively few Americans have heard or read about President Trump’s blueprint to lower drug prices, and many of those who do know about it think it won’t work.

A new poll from Politico and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health finds that just 27 percent of U.S. adults say they know about Trump’s prescription drug plan. Of those who are aware of the plan, only 37 percent say it will lower prescription drug prices paid by Medicare and 42 percent say it will bring down drug prices overall. More than half of adults (57 percent) believe the drug plan will not make a difference in the prices they or their families pay.
