While it is generally considered to be one of the worst of the Sean Connery Bond films, “Thunderball” did amazingly well at the box office, raking in over $600 million in 2015 dollars. The novel on which it was based was later adapted into a second (albeit unsanctioned) Bond movie, “Never Say Never Again.”
