The Anti-Obamacare Movement Just Got Creepy

Generation Opportunity

The war over Obamacare is getting weird. Really weird.

The latest contribution to the bizarre battle over the president's health care law comes in the form of an outrageously creepy ad from Generation Opportunity, a Virginia-based conservative group that is trying to discourage people from signing up for health insurance through the Obamacare exchanges opening on October 1.

The ad features a young woman visiting the OB/GYN for the first time since she signed up for insurance under Obamacare.

Eerie music plays as a nurse guides her into a hospital room where the girl nervously sits down to wait for the doctor. Just as the nurse leaves, a creepy Uncle Sam appears out of nowhere to examine her. The scene fades to black and text reading "Don't let government play doctor," flashes across the screen as the woman screams. (seriously.)

And that's likely not the last we'll see of creepy Uncle Sam.

That's because Generation Opportunity, funded by the billionaire Koch brothers, is gearing up for a six-figure anti-Obamacare campaign including a tour of 20 colleges nationwide to convince students to opt out of the exchanges.
