Open enrollment for health insurance on the Affordable Care Act exchange (HealthCare.gov) ends in most states on Saturday, and it looks the number of signups could be significantly lower this year compared to a year ago.
While the factors influencing signups are no doubt complex, many experts say that the Trump administration’s efforts to undermine the system have been effective, especially the sharp reduction in public messaging about the program.
