Maybe the NIH was getting desperate to find another project to fund before the end of the fiscal year. Or maybe it was just Oregon's turn to be awarded a grant. Either way, the NIH decided to grant Oregon Health & Science University $2.6 million to study whether a motivational phone program can help obese truckers lose weight.
