Carol Hymowitz

CAROL HYMOWITZ is a columnist and contributor at The Fiscal Times, writing about corporate leadership, strategy, innovation and workplace diversity. She previously was Editorial Director of Forbes Woman, where she launched the quarterly magazine Forbes Woman and ForbesWoman.com, a site for executive and professional women. She spent most of her journalism career at the Wall Street Journal, where she rose from a staff reporter to a columnist and senior editor in charge of management coverage.

At the Journal, her award-winning In the Lead column explored the biggest challenges facing top executives across industries, including boardroom upheavals, restructurings and competition in the global economy. She also edited the Journal’s Women to Watch coverage and convened annual Women to Watch conferences. She is co-author of A History of Women in America, published by Bantam.   She is a frequent speaker and panel moderator at business conferences and has appeared as a commentator on CNBC, Fox and other media.
