9 Desperate Money Measures Airlines Are Taking

These days you can put everything from a cup of coffee to a doctor’s bill to a subway ride on a credit card, but when it comes to paying for a flight, watch out. European budget airline Easyjet charges £9 (or $11 dollars) per transaction to use any card, plus 2.5 percent of the value of the plane ticket if you use a credit card. Meanwhile, Ryanair charges £6 (or $7.50) per person, per flight, if you use any card but its prepaid Mastercard.
