Sen. John McCain appeared on SNL three days before the 2008 election, light-heartedly poking fun at his campaign. He appeared in the opening skit with Tina Fey, who reprised her celebrated impersonation of Sarah Palin, McCain's running mate. McCain also hosted an episode in 2002.
