GM’s Ignition Switch Problems: The 6 Models Being Recalled

Saturn Ion (2003-2007)

The Chevrolet Saturn Ion is a compact four-door sedan and coupe that was sold by General Motors between the 2003 and 2007 model years. The car used GM’s front-wheel drive Delta platform, and the instrument panel was mounted on the top center of the dashboard, rather than behind the steering wheel. About 588,000 of the cars have been recalled by GM because of the ignition cut-off problem affecting steering and the release of air bags.
