Buffalo Wings
The city of Buffalo, New York, hosts a Buffalo Chicken Wing Festival every Labor Day weekend. Some credit John Young and his “mambo sauce” for the fiery, spicy wings, while others say it was Teressa Bellissimo who first got the idea to toss chicken wings in cayenne pepper hot sauce and butter in 1964.
