11 Ridiculous College Courses You Won’t Believe

Most college kids across the country are now full-on immersed in their classes, hitting the books and getting to know their professors. But do you know what they’re paying for?

The average cost of tuition, fees, room and board at a private four-year college is about $41,000 a year—a financial burden that has left many families in serious debt.

Even a public four-year in-state college costs about $18,400 a year; and if you’re out-of-state, you’re looking at nearly $31,000.

Despite these high costs, some colleges are offering some rather, um, unique classes. From juggling, to the sociology of Miley Cyrus, to patternmaking for dog garments, there’s a wide variety of odd classes that may not be as valuable as a class in advanced calculus.

Here are some college courses that can’t exactly be called “core,” offered today in our colleges and universities.
